MuditaOS K 1.5.0 : Mudita Support (test)

MuditaOS K 1.5.0 brings a new keyboard, faster location with optional A-GPS, swipe gestures for calls, Czech language, security patches and many fixes. It rolled out in batches from May 2026. To get it, go to Settings, About, Software Update.

Highlights

New Kompakt Keyboard: 10 languages, 5 layouts, word suggestions and auto-correction.
A-GPS (optional): finds your location much faster for Maps and Weather. Off by default.
Swipe to answer or decline calls, so calls aren't answered by accident in your pocket.
Czech added as a system language.
Bug reports: you can now stop issue logs and bug reports being sent to Sentry automatically.
Security patches, including fixes for privilege escalation and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth vulnerabilities.

What changed

Keyboard

Languages: English, Polish, Italian, Portuguese, French, Spanish, German, Swiss German, Dutch and Czech.
Layouts: QWERTY, QWERTZ, AZERTY, Dvorak and Colemak. Switch language and layout from the keyboard.
Suggestion bar that predicts your next word, and auto-correction for typos.
Long-press a key for accents and special characters.
Separate layouts for numbers and punctuation, extended symbols and a numpad, plus a multi-tab emoji keyboard.
Create your own input styles and set auto-capitalization, the new sentence shortcut, sound and vibration.
Turn auto-correction and suggestions on or off in Text Correction. Choose which keyboard to set up if you install another one.

Location and privacy

A-GPS is optional, off by default, and can be turned on or off any time in settings.
A-GPS data is processed on the phone. Mudita does not collect, store or use location data for analytics or profiling.

Phone

Swipe to answer or decline incoming calls.
Fixed the screen waking up in a pocket during incoming calls.
Fixed crashes when viewing contacts, managing favourites, using search or the dialer, unplugging headphones during a call, and a few other cases.
Better sorting of contact phone numbers on all screens.

Apps

Calculator: copy values from the input, better handling of repeated percentage operations.
Calendar: fixed a crash while navigating.
Camera: landscape photos save the right way round, fixed access to storage, photo names now include date and time.
E-reader: text shows black again instead of gray.
Notes: pasting is limited to 20,000 characters. If you go over, the paste is blocked and a message appears.
SMS: fixed a deleted photo showing in an MMS preview, and the SMS label disappearing with no SIM card.
Voice Recorder: list of recordings on the main screen, turns off during calls for privacy, better audio quality.
Weather: fixed updates and location search, and crashes with some city names and the 7-day forecast.
System Update: fixed a problem when switching from Wi-Fi to mobile data during an update.

Terms

The End User License Agreement (EULA) is updated, mainly to remove references to the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform, which has closed. The changes take effect 14 days after the update. If you keep using the software after that, you accept the updated terms.

How to update

Connect Kompakt to the internet. Wi-Fi is best. If you only have mobile data, allow downloads over data.
Open the Control Center and tap the Settings icon.
Tap About, then Software Update.
Tap Update. If asked, read the licence agreement, tick the box and tap Agree.
Wait while the update downloads and installs, then tap Restart phone.

If an update is ready, you may also see New MuditaOS K update is available at the top of the Control Center. Tap it to start.

Mudita Center cannot install Kompakt updates. It only tells you an update exists. You always update on the phone.

If the update fails

Try the update again.
Check your internet connection is stable.
Restart Kompakt and try once more.
If it still fails, contact Customer Support. A factory reset is a last resort, since it erases your data.
