MuditaOS K 1.6.0

MuditaOS K 1.6 is dated 24 August 2026 and focuses on usability, stability and privacy. Install it from the update notification in the Control Center, or under Settings, About, Software Update.

Highlights

• Keyboard. 38 keyboard languages, including new layouts for Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Swedish, Swiss French and Latin Serbian, and Cyrillic layouts for Belarusian, Russian, Ukrainian, Bulgarian and Serbian. New toggles for personalised and predictive suggestions, word learning, and next-word suggestions.
• Voicemail. Voicemail notifications on the Phone app icon and in recent calls on supported networks (mainly in the US), and in the launcher on networks with message waiting indication. Long-press 1 on the dial pad to call voicemail, and set your voicemail number in the app settings.
• Maps. Guided first-launch setup for location and A-GPS, map suggestions for your region, clearer messages about storage, Wi-Fi and Offline mode, a badge when a map update is available, Driving as the default mode, better address search and an approximate location circle.
• Notes. Task lists with check marks.
• Alarm. Vibration can be turned on or off for each alarm.
• System. One Notification vibration switch in the Vibration and Haptic section turns off vibration for messages, calendar and third-party alerts. Remaining PUK attempts are now shown. Security patches for privilege escalation, cross-profile information disclosure and media parsing.

Fixes

• PIN requirement when restarting the phone with Offline+ on.
• Factory reset could be done with an incorrect password.
• Hotspot save button without a hotspot name, Cancel button when enabling two SIMs, and eSIM deletion option overflow.
• Screen brightness when the phone is off and fully charged, and the message after an incorrect PUK.
• SMS: duplicate notifications after group messages, contact names saved on the SIM, copying numbers, and blocking unsaved senders.
• Phone: stuck call icon, call log refresh, Quick Message templates reset, and a leading zero in 12-hour time.
• Weather: forecast sync over Bluetooth tethering, overlapping temperatures, three-digit Fahrenheit values and Spanish translations.
• Further fixes in Alarm, Calendar, Contacts, eSIM, keyboard settings, System Update, Voice Recorder and the legal documents and EULA layout.

Known issues

After the release, owners reported that the SIM PIN is requested after turning Offline+ on and off, and ghost missed, unanswered or rejected call notifications that cannot be cleared. Both will be fixed in a hotfix. Some AT&T and Verizon lines still limit service; see US carriers.
