MuditaOS 1.5.1

MuditaOS 1.5.1 is a stepping-stone release for Mudita Pure from February 2023. Its changes let Pure upgrade to MuditaOS 1.6.0. It doesn't add features you'll notice.

What changed

• Prepares Pure for the upgrade to MuditaOS 1.6.0.

Do I need to install it?

Not separately. When you update an older Pure, Mudita Center installs 1.5.1 and then the newer versions in sequence, restarting the phone between steps. If your Pure has a passcode, you enter it after each step.

How to update

1. Install the latest Mudita Center on your computer (Windows, Mac or Linux).
2. Charge your device to at least 40%.
3. Connect it to the computer with a USB-C cable and open Mudita Center.
4. In Overview, look at the MuditaOS section. If you see Update is available, click Download Now, then start the installation.
5. Keep the device connected and don't use it until Mudita Center confirms the update and the device restarts.

If your device is several versions behind, Mudita Center runs a sequential update and installs each required version in turn. On a Pure with a passcode, you enter the code after each step. More help: Updating a Mudita Pure or Harmony with Mudita Center.
