Does Kompakt support speech-to-text?

No. Kompakt does not currently support speech-to-text, so you cannot dictate messages or notes. Mudita may look into adding it in a future software update, but there is no date.

What you can use instead

The Kompakt Keyboard

MuditaOS K 1.5.0 brought a new keyboard that makes typing faster:

• Word suggestions above the keyboard and auto-correction.
• Accents and special characters: long-press a key.
• 10 languages: English, Polish, Italian, Portuguese, French, Spanish, German, Swiss German, Dutch and Czech.
• QWERTY, QWERTZ, AZERTY, Dvorak and Colemak layouts. Change language and layout right from the keyboard.

You can turn auto-correction and word suggestions on or off in the Text Correction section of the keyboard settings.

Voice Recorder

If you want to capture something by voice, record it in the Voice Recorder app. Your recordings are listed on its main screen. It turns off during phone calls for privacy. It does not turn speech into text.

Third-party keyboards

Kompakt lets you choose which keyboard to set up if you install another one. Sideloaded apps are not optimized for Kompakt, and apps that depend on Google services likely won't work correctly. See Does Mudita Kompakt support third-party apps?.
