Short answerSwitch to eSIM mode, then Settings, Network & Internet, SIM Cards, Add eSIM, and scan your carrier QR code. Kompakt holds one physical SIM plus either a second SIM or an eSIM, not both.
What you need
An eSIM QR code or activation code from your carrier, and an internet connection. Kompakt must be in eSIM mode before you add the eSIM.
Switch to eSIM mode
Kompakt has one dedicated SIM slot and one hybrid slot that takes either a second nano-SIM or a microSD card. An eSIM replaces the second SIM, so you use SIM 2 or eSIM, never both. A microSD card keeps working with an eSIM.
- Open the Control Center and tap Settings.
- Tap Network & Internet, then SIM Cards.
- Tap Switch mode, then Switch mode again to confirm. Kompakt restarts.
Add the eSIM
- Open the Control Center and tap Settings.
- Tap Network & Internet, then SIM Cards.
- Tap Add eSIM, then Continue.
- Scan the QR code, or tap Insert code and type the activation code.
- Read the Profile Policy rules and tap Accept.
- Tap Add this eSIM. Tick the check box if you want to turn the eSIM on straight away. Kompakt restarts.
Moving your number from another phone
Ask your carrier to transfer your eSIM to a new device, or to convert your physical SIM to an eSIM.
US owners. If the eSIM activates but calls are quiet or data is blocked, try a physical SIM. Several US owners fixed it this way. Details in Low call volume on US carriers.
