Short answerMudita Center is a free desktop app for Windows, macOS and Linux. It lets you back up, update and manage Mudita Kompakt and Mudita Harmony over a USB-C cable, with no account needed.
What you can do with it
- Back up your device and restore it later. Contacts, messages and files are copied to your own computer.
- Update the software on your device.
- Manage contacts and files, and on Kompakt install apps from other sources. Apps from other sources are not checked by Mudita, so install only apps you trust.
- Connect with a USB-C cable. Center shows what your device can do and nothing else.
Your data stays with you
- There is no Mudita account to create. You download the app and use it.
- Backups are stored on your own disk. Mudita does not store personal data from your devices.
- Center collects a small amount of anonymous in-app data to fix bugs and improve the software. It is never shared with third parties.
- Center is open source under GPL v3, so you can read the code yourself.
Using Mudita Pure?
Mudita Center 3.2.1 is the last version that works with Mudita Pure. Version 4.0.0 and newer do not recognize the phone. Use 3.2.1 to back up Pure, manage contacts and messages, or move your data to Kompakt.
